My family has a fun tradition to seek out and vote for the ornament to be deemed most ugly each Christmas season. We've been in need of an "ugly tree" for years due to amassing such a big collection. Voting ends around each new year.
The 2019 Ugly Bulb winner has been crowned victorious! This Year's winner was submitted by my sister Sarina. Is it a bear, gremlin, or gorilla in a Santa hat - and why? Who the hell knows! We do know it's not pretty.

About the Ugly Bulb Tradition - by Kathryn White (from our facebook site):
More than 10 years ago, my family started a wonderful tradition based on a Christmas gift I bought for a mutual boss of myself and my mother-in-law. Quickly, the gift morphed into what we call the Ugly Bulb.
Each year family members seek to find the absolute ugliest bulb possible. There are only the following rules:
...
1. You cannot MAKE the ugly bulb.
2. Only one submission per family household.
3. It must be intended as a Christmas ornament. No adding a hook to dog doo and calling it a day.
Bulbs are opened after being wrapped in the tackiest wrapping possible. Votes are taken and the ugliest bulb becomes the winner of that year!
All ugly bulbs are displayed on a swag at my Mother-in-Law's home. (hahaha!)
In recent years, we have been taking facebook votes/polls for the ugliest bulb...
