The meaning behind the name is just as it sounds. Use your brain. Keep your wits. Steer a path and navigate whatever life or your state of mind throws at you.
Pilot the Mind is a 3-piece band that is uniquely metal, while not. There's an amalgam of heavy rock, psychedelic, experimental, and prog metal. Could be a semi-instrumental cacophony of noise, you decide. We've been likened to the rock band Failure and I'll accept that! But my take - we just get together and make the noise.
We are currently in the process of tracking and mixing new material and looking forward to a release in 2020.
Members:
Chris Krejci (vocals, bass, upright bass, keys)
Robert Magallon (guitar, keys, programming)

The Trialogue Session EP, (2013) Part of The MindRocket Project (session #4). All music written and produced by Pilot the Mind. Recorded and engineered by Josh Roman of MindRocket Recording Studio. Shot by Jimmy Fro.
The Trialogue Session EP (2013) was tracked at MindRocket Recording Studio. We were fortunate enough to be a part of this project and recorded three songs live, in succession, for this "trilogy" EP.
Working with Josh Roman, the owner of MindRocket Recording Studio, has always been great. He has a knack for creating a relaxed environment and capturing good takes. I've had the pleasure of knowing Josh since my first band Render recorded a six-song EP back in 2000. My former band Alias X tracked several recordings at his studio including our self-titled debut EP and a few demos. Josh has also worked with my former bandmates' band Asleep over the years, notably on the Asleep Endomusia EP (2006), that also incorporates my album art. More about The MindRocket Project, and other bands that have been a part of the project, can be found on the youtube channel. Thanks to Josh Roman and Jimmy Fro for recording and shooting the Trialogue Session and others! They're a real boon to highlighting the local music scene and what it has to offer.
